Welcome!
The California Community College Council for Professional Development (4CPD) provides learning and networking opportunities for all professional development practitioners in the California Community Colleges.
If you plan or provide professional learning, track and report Flex, or coordinate Human Resources training for any employee group, including faculty, Classified professionals and administrators - we are here for YOU.
Connect with Your People
The strength of 4CPD is the sharing of ideas, the camaraderie of colleagues, the passionate dedication of a statewide network of professionals to the professional growth of everyone in the California Community College system.
We are only as strong as we are engaged, so we encourage you to get involved by attending events, posting in the Vision Resource Center PD Practitioners community and serving on the Board.

Attend Our Events
4CPD hosts an annual Fall Conference for PD practitioners to hone their skills, find inspiration in new content, delivery methods and reporting of activities. The conference is also an opportunity to network with fellow practitioners, representatives from the Chancellor’s Office and representatives from the Vision Resource Center. An awards ceremony honors colleagues who are doing exceptional work in the PD realm.
Educational events throughout the year provide another opportunity to connect with PD colleagues, learn about innovative practices and to share best practices.
New to 4CPD is an annual book club which meets virtually once per month on a text related to developing productive and inclusive professional development spaces.
PD Resources
One of the purposes of 4CPD is to support our practitioners in their work. Collecting a repository of resources is one way that we do that. Whether it’s highlighting the network of partners that affect professional development or resource documents, we hope you’ll find what you need here.
