About the event

Registration is now open for the collaborative webinar From 1 to 50: How Ventura College Scaled Faculty AI-Readiness Through Communities of Practice, presented by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (Chancellor’s Office).

This webinar highlights a proven approach to scaling faculty AI-readiness. Participants will explore how Ventura College used a Chancellor's Office-funded train-the-trainer model to transform one Community of Practice (CoP) participant into five facilitators, who then guided 50 faculty members through their own AI-focused CoPs. Bring your professional development team and watch together to gain a concrete, adaptable framework for your campus.

By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify what a CoP is.

  • Describe a train-the-trainer model for scaling AI-focused professional development across a college campus.

  • Identify institutional conditions that enable broad faculty participation.
