About the event

This session highlights equity-minded instructional change underway at Cerro Coso Community College, where a faculty–IR partnership used disaggregated first-year composition data to move from uncomfortable equity findings to meaningful action. Presenters will share how IR created a confidential, trust-based space for faculty reflection, leading to redesigned pedagogy, grading practices, assignments, and course materials that produced early improvements for disproportionately impacted student groups. Participants will leave with practical templates and strategies for facilitating equity-minded data dialogues that support relational, evidence-based change at their own institutions.
